Well, the book is very informative, but then again, it's like searching every question under google. I don't know how to describe why I cannot give a 5star rating because I think there is still something to improve about it.I like how it transitions the whole importance of knowing everything about bonsai as a hobby and as a helpful relaxing experience for everyone.With my interest on gardening, this book helped me alot for exploring another addition in my things to do next spring!I sure hope the author will give out such awesome tips on choosing the right seed, pot, tree and even where to place the bonsai.I recommend this book or those avid researchers and alike! They would definitely enjoy this book if they want to know about bonsais
We took a vacation in Japan last 4 months and it was there where my interest with Bonsai started. We visited this temple near Kyoto and I was amazed by how beautiful the Bonsais where meticulously decorated in the shrine’s garden.After arriving home, I decided to make a hobby out of planting and decorating Bonsais. I bought some books about Bonsais but this one it probably my favorite. Simple yet full of details…but I just have some problems with book though. It came short with the illustrations…pictures can add a bit of life to the book.
This is not so much a book, as it is a booklet. It has about a chapter's worth of information in it and is simply way too short to justify it's price with almost no pictures to show off the different styles of bonsai. Unfortunately, my kindle app wouldn't show me how big the book was until after I already paid for it. You are much better off just reading the information from a website such as bonsaiempire, which is much more in depth.
This isn't a bonsai manual. There's not right or wrong way. This book makes it clear. This is more of an introductory; an overview of what to expect, the joys of creating a work of art, and some basic information to get started.
Good for beginners
Tells me everything I needed to know to get started and more. Great price. Great pictures easy to follow.
I gave this book two stars because the writer didn't include enough illustrations. With more illustrations the reader would be better able understand the text.
