I've been meditating for many years and have read widely in the field of contemplative practices. I've been enjoying reading "In Tune" as it is a refreshing and novel approach to methods and concepts that I'm familiar with. Wolf has a good sense of humor and a lyrical touch that is pretty uncommon in this genre. I can't carry a tune for the life of me, but this book is another good companion to my practice, deepening my appreciation for listening closely to sound and silence. Highly recommend.
Lately I've been very curious about mindfulness and have wanted to learn more about it. Since I'm a lover of music and an amateur musician, I thought this would be a good way to get into it. I really enjoyed the musical context that Wolf gives the meditation instructions and explanations and his anecdotes about other artists and musicians. In Tune is written by a professional musician who is an award winning commercial music composer and producer. He also is a lifelong meditator and mindfulness practitioner.
