About the Author
Takehiko Inoue is the creator of one of the most popular manga of all time, Slam Dunk, which has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. This is one of the best stories I've ever read, if you are sceptical about reading manga and think it is too weird or childish please be my guest and read this beauty over here. It has a great story line and the art is fantastic, some might complain about the slow pace but it is just right to understand the plot.Buy it you wont regret it.
I have the entire series can't wait for Volume 12. The manga series is a fictionalized account of Japan's greatest Samurai and his need to continually improve not only as a Samurai but as a person.
Bought as a gift. Hubby loved it. He has the full set and was pleased to get this version so spines matched.
Takehiko Inoue is just a fantastic writer. He really delves into the mind of what it means to live by the sword, and he does not forget ethics of the heart. He explores the good and the bad of such intense devotion and there is never a dull moment. This particular issue was beyond excellent, but if you've read all the volumes up to 11, you already know how excellent this manga is.
Cuz I'm a big fan of Takehiko Inoue and Vagabond is his masterpiece.
Not as good as I expect. The cover page looks like a second-hand book and there are some wrinkles on the angles of the cover page.
I thought it impossible (shame on me), but Inoue has finally come around on Matahachi. Inoue pulls this off flawlessly and leaves me more than a little shell shocked. I think this may be one of the volumes I'll always return to in the future. Not for the fighting, but the serene moments and gorgeous set pieces. Reading Vagabond has given me a whole new outlook on nature. This is easily the most calm I've ever been reading a comic. It's a wonderful feeling. I never want to forget it.
